What is DUNGEON SOUL?

DUNGEON SOUL is a classic game of quests, monsters, and ancient dungeons, reimagined using Jason Tocci's 2400 framework. Play as Fighters, Wizards, Clerics, and Rogues, each armed with unique skills and abilities as you traverse a decaying and hostile world.

How do you play DUNGEON SOUL?

DUNGEON SOUL requires very little preparation. Simply create your character by assigning some attributes and picking a class, generate a quest using the tables provided, and start your adventure!

In the example enemies you provided, does "wounds 2/ round," and "wounds 3/round" mean that enemy gets 2 and 3 attacks per round? And if so, would that be against two/three different targets or just one?

It should be 2 or 3 attacks, yes. The monsters can usually divide the attacks as the situation demands.

The example of play uses DEX for initiative but the rules use INT. Have I confused something?

Hey, yeah that's definitely a mistake, it should be INT. (This is a very old game that I have not looked at in quite a while, hence why I made it PWYW haha)

It's really really cool.

This is one of the most well developed takes on 24XX that I’ve come across (and I took place in the game jam haha). The subtle changes to the base system seem right in line with the aesthetic you were aiming for. Well done!

A subtle and well considered combination of 24XX and OS D&D concepts to create a rich and varied character creation and advancement. My favourite 24XX hack so far, and actually far more than that, it feels like a system that could withstand decent length campaigns. Really looking forward to running sessions with my group.

Excellent combination of the 24XX system with a more D&D-esque style of play. It keeps the core of the system simple but expands some areas to give players and GMs more guidance in running D&D-style sessions. I particularly appreciate the nuanced way some of the rules have been subtly tweaked to fit better with the additions Dungeon Soul brings, rather than simply sticking the new parts onto the 24XX rules and calling it good
