Dread Hall of the Rune-Lord
A downloadable game
It's taken two weeks, but you've finally arrived. The long-forgotten hall of the ancient RUNE-LORD looms in front of you, built into a mountain fastness. It's said that the spirit of the RUNE-LORD himself, trapped in undeath, seeks to destroy all those who enter to plunder its secrets...
DREAD HALL of the RUNE-LORD is a one page, bite sized, print and play adventure where you must test your mettle and luck in the appropriately named (very dreadful) hall. Each turn, you will roll 2 dice and choose 1, with higher results giving you more progress towards upgrades but also indicating more danger and encounters with the denizens of this accursed location. Meanwhile, the RUNE-LORD draws ever closer with each breath you take, trespassing on his domain...
Will you survive the RUNE-LORD's machinations? Will you even meet the RUNE-LORD? Download, print, and play to find out!
- You will need: At least 1 six sided dice (d6), pencil and eraser.
- Play time: 5-10 minutes.

This is a fun game, thank you. Can you clarify two things for me? What are the torches used for? What does the the 3 in 6 and 4 in 6 mean? Does that mean I need to roll at least a 3 or 4?
Hey, torches are used to avoid losing HP when you roll 3 on the Events table. 3 in 6 means that you succeed if you roll 3, 2, or 1. 4 in 6 means you succeed if you roll 4, 3, 2, or 1. Thanks for playing!
Thank you so much for the quick reply! It's a fantastic game.
I like this! It's a fun, quick solo game where the choices you make feel like they matter a lot and can make or break your run. I even managed to die to the Rune-Lord with both +1 to-hit and +3 vs Runic, rolling 1 twice in a row. :D
Hope you won't mind a few thoughts on the rules themselves:
Hey, thanks for the feedback! I haven't had a lot of balancing updates to the game itself, but I have worked at turning it into more of a generic system where this might be helpful. I'll keep the feedback in mind! As for why the Runelord has E1, that's because he's basically a constant you have to prepare for, rather than something the dice can save you from, to encourage you to take risks and push your luck.
